John Eustace, the former manager of Birmingham, is expected to take over at Blackburn if Jon Dahl Tomasson completes his exit from Ewood Park.

At Rovers, tensions have been high, and Tomasson is reportedly becoming more and more irate by botched transfer deals and budgetary constraints. The Dane, who was hired in 2022, reportedly submitted his resignation while the squad was losing eight straight Championship games.

Moving forward On the day of the transfer deadline, Duncan McGuire had committed to sign a loan with Blackburn; however, the EFL rejected the transaction since the registration documents had not been received by 11 p.m.

After Tomasson’s departure from Blackburn has been finalized through the paperwork, Eustace is anticipated to sign a contract on Friday afternoon, according to Sky Sports writer Rob Dorsett.

Rovers are getting ready for their home match against Stoke on Saturday, which comes before a Tuesday trip to Birmingham. Since being fired by the Blues in October when Wayne Rooney took his place at St Andrew’s, Eustace has been unemployed.

On Monday, April 1, Sunderland will host Blackburn at the Stadium of Light.
