“Lemmy Immortalized: Motörhead to Launch Posthumous Album Featuring Never-Before-Heard Tracks in 2025”
In what is being hailed as the most thrilling announcement since Lemmy Kilmister’s passing, Motörhead has confirmed the upcoming release of a posthumous album featuring never-before-heard studio recordings from the iconic frontman. Titled “Lemmy Lives”, the album is set to drop in November 2025, coinciding with what would have been Lemmy’s 80th birthday.
The album will include unreleased tracks recorded between 2003 and 2012, unearthed from the band’s private vaults. According to longtime bandmate Phil Campbell, the tracks capture Lemmy “at his rawest, loudest, and most poetic.” The release promises to blend gritty speed-metal riffs, soulful blues influences, and Lemmy’s unmistakable gravel-throated vocals, making it a true time capsule of his late-career genius.
The project is being produced by Grammy-winning engineer Cameron Webb, who worked closely with Lemmy during Motörhead’s final years. In addition to the music, the deluxe edition will include handwritten lyrics, personal notes, and previously unseen photos from the band’s archives.
Fans are especially buzzing about a rumored collaboration track featuring Lemmy’s vocals with Dave Grohl on drums and Ozzy Osbourne on guest vocals—an all-star homage to the metal legend.
This announcement comes amid Motörhead’s ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations, which have included commemorative vinyl reissues, global tribute events, and the unveiling of a Lemmy statue in Stoke-on-Trent.
With the release of Lemmy Lives, fans can look forward to one more thunderous roar from the man who defined rock rebellion. As Lemmy once said, “Born to lose, lived to win”—and now, his voice will shake the heavens
once again.
