LMPD: Man dies in hospital after being discovered shot in Louisville’s Jacobs area.

Louisville, Kentucky — Louisville Metro Police say a man died Saturday afternoon after being shot in the Jacobs area. Around 1:25 p.m., officers from the LMPD Fourth Division responded to a shooting incident in the 3600 block of Georgetown Place.

That is in a residential neighborhood immediately north of Jacobs Elementary School. When they arrived, they discovered a man had been shot. He was brought to UofL Hospital and died from his injuries. LMPD Homicide is conducting an investigation, and no suspects have been identified at this time.
