Luka Doncic expressed his sentiments to the media ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, which begins on June 6. He mentions that the Celtics are at the top of the NBA. “I mean, they’re the best team in the NBA,” Doncic stated in a press conference on May 30 after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals (via Yahoo Sports).
Doncic deserves credit for firmly stating that the Celtics are the best team in the NBA, even if the numbers speak for themselves. It’s always encouraging to see other well-known athletes acknowledge that things will not always be simple. Doncic is already in his sixth season and has made his NBA Finals debut. Like Celtics star Jayson Tatum, he’s looking for his first Larry O’Brien Trophy.
