Major Injury Update for the Knicks Before Game 6 Against the Sixers

A reserve player will be available for the New York Knicks’ Game 6 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

A number of significant ailments are plaguing the New York Knicks during their first-round matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Bojan Bogdanovic is the newest Knick to suffer a setback, joining big man Mitchell Robinson and seasoned forward Julius Randle.

Unfortunately, Bogdanovic is battling a string of injuries, and as a result, his official first-round playing status has been lowered for the duration of the series.

It was announced prior to last Sunday’s South Philadelphia Game 4 that Bogdanovic had been battling a wrist issue. Bogdanovic didn’t intend to have wrist surgery done until the offseason, even though he was thinking about it.

But everything changed after another setback. Bogdanovic’s shift in Game 4 came to an abrupt stop in the first half due to a foot injury. Bogdanovic was declared out of the game after making his way back to the visitor’s locker room and off the court gradually.

It was disclosed prior to Game 5 between the Sixers and the Knicks earlier this week that Bogdanovic would need surgery before the season ends.

Bogdanovic intended to play despite his wrist injury, but the setback to his lower body was too much. According to ESPN, the veteran will so soon have surgery that would end his season.

Bogdanovic, who is expected to be sidelined for Game 6 at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, joins Randle on the Knicks’ injury report.

With three victories in the first five games of the series, the Knicks have generally been in control of the series. On Tuesday night, it appeared as though they were prepared to punch their ticket to the second round, but the Sixers prevailed in overtime after Tyrese Maxey’s masterclass forced extra time.
