“We will be looking for the players to build on that and add a little bit I think we can help with, what a brilliant way to take our frustration out with a big game on Monday.”

Russell Martin, the manager of SAINTS, acknowledged that he was “angry” when his team lost to Middlesbrough by two significant points.
Emmanuel Latte Lath’s 90th-minute equalizer prevented the visitors from tying 1-1 and dashed their hopes of qualifying automatically for the Championship.
Having contributed 30 goals to the Saints’ 23rd victory this season—more than any other player—Adam Armstrong seemed to have ignited the team.
However, late in the game, Ivorian Latte Lath nodded in his 10th goal of the year to push Boro’s winning streak to five games.
Saints had ended their 20-day break since their last game with a goal inside 12 minutes.
“I had to take some time to talk to them after the game because I was so furious. We had some incredible opportunities, but sometimes that’s just how football works. I’m very sad.
“You have to appropriately protect your end if you are not going to be clinical at that point. That is not what we did.
“I am really pleased with a lot of the performance, the only bit I am not pleased with is the 15 minutes before halftime,” Martin said.
We gradually run out of energy, and if that doesn’t happen, I believe we approach the break quite differently and they perceive an opportunity instead.
“I’m not sure what that boils down to; perhaps it’s three weeks without a game and a lot of guys leaving.
“It stings because we had plenty of opportunities to win by a few goals on another day, but we didn’t.
“The opportunity was there when you see the result at Leicester, but I do think there will be twists and turns.”
“There will be some crazy results because people feel pressured and teams do strange things at the end of the season,” he continued.
“We need to make sure we bounce back and nobody needs to build up that game on Monday.”
In the two minutes that followed his goal being disallowed for offside, Adams, who has 10 goals this season, squandered two excellent opportunities.
The Scotland international’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, but Martin does not place the blame at his door.
“He will be frustrated he didn’t score but it happens, we are human,” the boss insisted.
“We still need to defend well; he wasn’t the reason we lost. Adam Armstrong was quite irritated with himself for letting go of two opportunities.
