At BlueBet Stadium on Saturday, the Wests Tigers lost to the Panthers 40-14 in Round 7 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup.
The Magpies lost badly at Penrith after giving up five consecutive tries in the first thirty minutes of play. Two minutes prior to halftime, winger Solomon Alaimalo scored the Magpies’ first try, putting his team behind 30–4 at the break.
- Panther’s half Trent Toelau scored five minutes into the second half to increase the home side’s lead to 34-4, putting the game out of reach for the black and whites. Jayden Sullivan scored for the Magpies shortly after the hour mark, while the Panthers responded with Declan Casey scoring in the closing few minutes.
