Max Verstappen reveals lines He’s willing to cross for title success

Last year, Max Verstappen won the World Championship in spectacular way, defeating Lando Norris. Verstappen discusses his campaign and why he has no regrets over his contentious encounters with Norris.

Verstappen: “That mindset isn’t shared by everyone.”

The Austrian Grand Prix was possibly the first indication that Verstappen and Norris were seriously vying for the championship. The two Championship contenders made contact in the race’s last laps after a number of close calls.

Verstappen lost positions following a pit stop, and Norris was forced to withdraw due to damage sustained in the incident.

The stewards also gave him a 10-second penalty. Nevertheless, the Red Bull driver gained 10 more points than the British driver as a result of this collision, leaving Spielberg in the lead. Additional collisions, like Verstappen’s audacious moves in Mexico, would characterise a tense battle for the 2024 Championships.

2025 might be a more significant test. Verstappen shown that he could have an impact when other teams were pursuing Red Bull in 2023 after benefiting from a dominant car. If anything, a weak season of growth at Milton Keynes was made up for by the Dutchman’s unique genius.

Verstappen’s fourth championship is perhaps his most remarkable given that McLaren was the fastest team starting in Miami (round 6). But as 2025 approaches, the 27-year-old is not taking anything for granted. He has already issued a warning, saying Red Bull cannot permit themselves to experience the same issues as the previous year.
