McKenna: Hutchinson’s Progress Has Been Outstanding..

Omari Hutchinson, the February Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month, has improved greatly in many areas of his game while on a season-long loan with the Blues, according to Town manager Kieran McKenna.

The Chelsea player on loan was named the winner earlier today, and the Blues manager believes the 20-year-old deserves it because he has come a long way since the season began.

“He has, for sure,” he stated. We’ve enjoyed following that journey and trying to support it along the way, and I know he’s grateful for all of the support he’s received from everyone here.

“For someone playing men’s football for the first time, he’s having a very strong season.”

He’s made tremendous progress in a variety of areas, but he also has a strong sense of humility and grounding.

“He is aware that he is just beginning his career, and he has goals and desires to advance well above his current level of performance.

“If he exhibits the same disposition and frame of mind that he has displayed thus far, I have no doubt that he will do so going forward.”

Hutchinson has scored six goals in his 16 starts and 24 substitute appearances thus far.
