Los Angeles Angels’ standout player Mike Trout underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee on Friday. Despite this setback, the three-time AL MVP is expected to make a comeback during the current season. The procedure, a partial medial menisectomy, was conducted in California, and Trout will start his rehabilitation process in Anaheim.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Trout has grappled with a significant injury. However, Angels manager Ron Washington provided reassurance, stating that the surgery confirmed the initial diagnosis and did not reveal any additional issues.

Trout, 32, expressed uncertainty about when the knee injury occurred. Before being sidelined, he was leading the majors with 10 home runs, along with 14 RBIs and six steals.

Washington emphasized Trout’s positive mindset before the injury and expressed confidence in his ability to rebound once fully recovered. Despite the setback, Trout’s determination and resilience are evident as he begins his journey back to the field.
