Just over a week ago, Jaelen Waters, a highly-rated defensive back from Seffner (Fla.) Armwood High School in the class of 2026, decided to retract his earlier commitment to Florida State University. His commitment, made just a month prior, didn’t stick, and now he’s back in the recruiting process. Despite this, he’s still receiving interest from other colleges, with Oregon joining the fray just this Thursday.

Since reopening his recruitment, Waters has been actively engaged with various colleges. Regarding upcoming visits, he mentioned, “On the 14th, I’m planning to visit Florida,” adding, “I’ve been in touch with Miami, but I’m not sure if they’ll replace that visit yet. Miami was initially scheduled for this weekend, but it might be rescheduled for a weekday or another weekend.”
