News: Derrick Henry of the Ravens says playing with Lamar Jackson is like taking a “breath of fresh air” and not having to be the center of attention.

The Baltimore Ravens signed Derrick Henry during the offseason; at the time of the agreement, Adam Schefter reported the terms of the deal.

According to sources who spoke to ESPN, free agent Derrick Henry has agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens that may be valued up to $20 million, with $9 million completely guaranteed in the first year.

Being a teammate of Lamar Jackson is a dream come true for many fans, so Derrick Henry is already thrilled to be a Raven. He’s also relieved that he isn’t the focus of attention anymore.

Because Jackson is a dual-threat quarterback who can be just as dangerous with his legs as he is with his arm, it certainly adds a new dimension, Henry stated, as reported by The Athletic. It will be enjoyable and a change of pace to not be the center of attention, even though he will undoubtedly be the target of attention. However, I’m really eager to go to work, put in my time here, and watch everything come together.

Derrick In 2023, Henry was on the verge of being dealt to two “playoff teams.”
Derrick With Tennessee offloading stars like Kevin Byard to Philadelphia, Henry believed he was also up for grabs before the 2023 Trade Deadline. It’s widely believed that the Baltimore Ravens, his current team, were among the suitors.

Since we were the veterans in the group with the longest tenure, I was a little offended when they traded KB because I thought, “Damn, if they traded KB, I might be next.”

“Given that you were obviously raised in a lot of speculation, did you think you were going to?” Compton queried.

Henry remarked, “Yeah, I felt like it was close, really close.””It was very, very close.”

Pushing further, Taylor Lewan inquired as to which teams would make the playoffs.

Yes, there were two. I’m not sure if the other one would have occurred, but the first one was quite near. Evidently, a lot happened within that little tale involving the exchange.

Compton questioned the great player for the Tennessee Titans about whether or not he was opposed to being traded.

At that time I didn’t know what was going on,” Derrick Henry responded. “KB had just gotten traded so I was trying to wrap my head around that. And then after that happened, I’m thinking they’re trying to get all of us outta here. So I’m just trying to figure out what’s happening on my team, talking to my agent seeing what he can find out because all this stuff is out on the internet about me being shopped and me being traded so, I had to let my girl know, I didn’t know what was going on.

I felt like it almost went down.”

Compton added that both teams were in the AFC, which Henry agreed with, and speculated that it was the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens, which Henry never denied.
