Novak Djokovic was struck in the head by a water bottle after a strange mishap at the Italian Open.
Novak Djokovic allegedly obtained his test results after visiting the Emergency Centre for head injuries. While signing autographs at the Italian Open, the world number one was struck in the head by a metal water bottle that fell from a fan’s rucksack. Djokovic subsequently lost his next match and stated that he will undergo tests to determine whether his head was more of an issue than anticipated.Djokovic is attempting to determine the cause of a bizarre head injury he sustained at the Italian Open after being smacked on the head with a water bottle. According to Republika, Djokovic has gone to the hospital in his hometown of Belgrade to get his head examined as a precaution. The examinations revealed no irregularities in his cranium, which is good news for the 36-year-old as he prepares to defend his French Open title.
The Serb was said to be in a good mood and willing to snap selfies with anyone who asked. It comes after Djokovic was asked if the bottle incident contributed to his poor performance against world number 32 Tabilo.
“I’m not sure, to be honest. I need to look into that. Training was different. I was going for some simple training yesterday. I didn’t feel anything, but I didn’t feel the same way,” he said.
