Novak Djokovic’s wife, Jelena, congratulated Olga Danilovic on reaching the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time. On Friday (May 31), the 23-year-old achieved an incredible victory over Croatia’s Donna Vekic in the third round of the French Open 2024.
Danilovic appeared defeated in the first set before rallying to win the match 0-6, 7-5, 7-6 (10-8), in a thriller on Court Simonne-Mathieu.Danilovic defeated Vekic, the world number 40, in three hours and eight minutes. In the opening set, Vekic broke her Serbian opponent’s serve three times. Danilovic turned her fortunes around just as it appeared she was going to win the match. She kept her cool in a nerve-racking tiebreaker in the third set and came out on top.
Danilovic celebrated her triumph with a post on Instagram, writing:
Following her remarkable victory, Djokovic’s wife sent Danilovic a letter of congratulations. She wrote: “Idemoooo,” which approximately means “Let’s go”
