Ohio State’s head coach, Ryan Day, expresses confidence in having what he believes to be the top running back unit in the nation, particularly highlighting TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. However, he finds it more intriguing that the primary criterion for selecting Alford’s successor will be based on their developmental abilities.

Furthermore, Day provided updates on Tuesday regarding important positional competitions within the offensive line and at the tight end position, commending the performances of right tackle Josh Fryar and tight end Gee Scott Jr.

Additionally, it was revealed on Tuesday that Ohio State has opted to distribute special teams responsibilities among its assistant coaches following the dismissal of special teams coordinator Parker Fleming during the offseason. This decision, influenced by Jim Tressel, involves having position coaches oversee special teams coaching alongside Day.

Following Day’s discussion on these subjects, Dan Hope and Andy Anders of Eleven Warriors discussed their impressions from the press conference in a recent edition of Press Coverage, which you can watch in the video above.
