Rob Edwards, the manager of Luton Town, has sent a warning message to Nottingham Forest, their rivals in the relegation zone, saying that his team “still believes” they can avoid going down at the hands of the Reds.

third from the bottom Before Forest and Chelsea play at the City Ground this evening, Hatters are to West Ham United this afternoon knowing they need to win to maintain their hopes of surviving. Furthermore, Edwards claims that the Reds’ perspective heading into their final two pivotal games of the season has improved with greater understanding around their unsuccessful appeal against their points deduction.

“We can manage the increased pressure,” he said during lunchtime on BBC’s Football Focus. “After statements regarding Forest surfaced, we now know where we stand, and I believe that’s good for everyone involved.”

“It is imperative that we view this matchup versus West Ham like a Cup Final. We’re going to keep moving forward, fighting, and everyone still has faith. We can still accomplish this, people tell me as I pass by on the street and in the emails and letters I receive often.

Glenn Murray, a studio pundit, stated: “It’s unfortunate for Luton that they’ve been unaware of their position throughout the season due to Forest and Everton’s point deductions. Their strategy for some games may have changed, but you have to accept things as they stand at the moment.

They are aware of their current situation. Luton has made a heroic effort. Rob Edwards has done an incredible job this season for them to still have a shot.

Despite terrible form, West Ham today bid farewell to manager David Moyes in his last home game of the season, which could be a factor going against Luton in terms of the atmosphere at the London Stadium.

Murray added: “I am sure West Ham fans will want to give him an amazing send off after being an amazing servant to the club and some will feel a bit over the way he has been treated, but as far as Luton are concerned they know they have to win and will fancy their chances.”
