Miami is still pushing for a top ten transfer portal class in 2024

The Miami Hurricanes are poised to potentially secure a top ten transfer portal class this offseason if they finish strong. With the recent addition of defensive tackle Simeon Barrow from Michigan State, Miami’s transfer portal class now consists of 13 members. Barrow’s arrival addresses a significant position of need for the Hurricanes and is expected to bolster their defense, potentially earning a starting role in the upcoming season.

Barrow brings valuable experience as a three-year starter at Michigan State, where he accumulated impressive statistics including 110 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks. His addition enhances the depth and versatility of Miami’s front seven defense.

As of now, Miami’s transfer portal class ranks 12th overall in the nation, with the possibility of breaking into the top ten as the final spots are highly contested. Currently, Miami’s transfer portal class score stands at 57.03 overall, while the eighth-ranked class, held by Ohio State, has a score of 59.79.
