Paul Goldschmidt publicly Reveals Honest Thoughts On Playing With Aaron Judge
After losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, the New York Yankees lost Juan Soto as well when he joined the New York Mets.
In response, the Yankees acquired a number of important players, including first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, outfielder Cody Bellinger, relief pitcher Devin Williams, and starting pitcher Max Fried. The newest addition, Goldschmidt, joined from the St. Louis Cardinals, and he shared his views about playing alongside Aaron Judge.
“He’s one of the best hitters in the world, maybe the best hitter as a right-handed power hitter, a guy that I’m very, very excited to play with and see him work every day,” Goldschmidt said, via YES Network.
As far as Goldschmidt and Judge are concerned, talent recognizes talent. Goldschmidt, a 14-year MLB veteran, has been named an All-Star seven times and named the NL MVP once. When both of these players are in the same lineup, it will be amazing to see.
He expressed how thrilled he is to play with one of baseball’s top hitters. With 154 games played in 2024, Goldschmidt batted.245 with 22 home runs, 65 RBIs, and a.716 OPS for the Cardinals. The Yankees’ numerous acquisitions have helped them partially offset Soto’s departure, and their offense should improve even further from the previous campaign.
