The Belgian is trying to spend less time in the Ibrox treatment room for the upcoming season because he is tired of not being able to see the stars.

Philippe Clement maintains that the Rangers’ injury issues are not just the result of bad luck.

For extended times this season, the Belgian has been without players like Tom Lawrence, Abdallah Sima, Ryan Jack, Oscar Cortes, Danilo, and Kieran Dowell. The Turkish left back is a serious doubt for Sunday’s Premiership title matchup with Celtic. Borna Barisic, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ross McCausland, and Todd Cantwell have all had shorter stints on the sidelines recently.

Clement has promised to drastically cut down on the number of players in the treatment room come season, as the cumulative amount of time his stars have been out of commission has proven to be too much for him. As a result, efforts are already being made to try and guarantee that his team is healthy most of the time. Furthermore, Clement is confident that his availability and level of fitness will significantly increase for the upcoming season.

When asked if it was all luck, he responded, “No,” to Kris Boyd of Sky Sports. “It would be too simple. Maybe once, twice, or three times a season is possible, but not with the consistency that has been present. We’re now doing a lot of effort to change that. I have no doubt that things will be very different in the upcoming season.”
