Philippe Clement shares update on Abdallah Sima and Dujon Sterling injury ahead of Rangers game against the Hibs

Philippe Clement has stated that Abdallah Sima and Dujon Sterling are back in training for Rangers ahead of their SPFL match against Hibs.

Prior to the resumption to league play, Ross McCausland and Kieran Dowell have also been training, the Belgian stated in his pre-match press conference.

Sima, who is on loan from Brighton, had been linked to a possible comeback for the Old Firm match against Celtic in one week. However, Clement has stated that he and the other three players are ready for Hibs on Saturday, even though they won’t play for ninety minutes.

With 15 goals this season, the attacking talent has been out since January after suffering a serious hamstring injury while traveling for international play.

With the title race so close at this point in the season and the Old Firm derby in just one week, this game is obviously a must-win for everyone.

The league loss at home to Motherwell, the team’s elimination from Europe against Benfica, and the postponement of Dundee right before the international break might have all combined to completely destroy the fantastic momentum Clement’s team had built up.

The Belgian must therefore get his team back on track in order to guarantee that, no matter what Celtic does, there will only be one outcome for their visit from Brendan Rodgers’ team the following week.

Despite their terrible recent record versus the Rangers, Nick Montgomery’s team is playing well this year, so the Hibees still pose a threat.

Despite that, Clement has managed three crucial victories over the Hibs in the league and cup so far this season; therefore, he will need to find a way to do so this week.

Two offensive standouts could join with the Light Blues because they “love it,” according to previous Rangers news.
