Currently, there’s a slowdown in recruiting activity, but that’s about to change as Arkansas prepares to welcome numerous official visitors in June. Additional prospects from the Class of 2025 are being identified this week as the Razorbacks continue their evaluations during the spring period. Recently, seven Arkansas coaches visited Little Rock to observe Parkview High’s talented team, which now boasts five players holding offers from the Razorbacks.

Among them, running back Cameron Settles received an offer and is likely to schedule an official visit soon. Settles joins a group of Parkview High players who have already been offered, including Monterrio Elston, Quentin Murphy, Omarion Robinson, and Jakore Smith.

Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari understands the significance of the Razorbacks to the people of the state and acknowledges the unique responsibilities that come with his position. Ahead of his appearance at the ONE Razorback Roadshow in Little Rock, Calipari reflected on the program’s history and the honor of leading the Hogs.

“I’m well acquainted with this program, from the Eddie Sutton days to Coach (Nolan) Richardson,” Calipari stated. “I’ve been friends with Nolan for a long time. We even faced off in 1994.” With a grin, Calipari humorously asked, “Remember what happened in that game?”

For those who might not recall, Calipari’s UMass team, ranked third at the time, convincingly defeated then-No. 1 Arkansas with a score of 104-80. That game served as motivation for the Razorbacks for the remainder of the 1994-95 season, during which they mounted another remarkable journey to the Final Four in Seattle, ultimately falling short in the title game. To many fans, that era of Arkansas basketball stands as the benchmark for all Razorback teams.
