As a member of Matt McMahon’s staff, former LSU basketball player Jalen Courtney-Williams, who was a member of the Tigers from 2010 to 2013, is making a comeback to the program.

The move was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Courtney-Williams, a Jackson, Mississippi native, spent three seasons as a player for former Tigers coach Trent Johnson before attending Morehead State.

Over the previous three years as Creighton’s coach, Courtney-Williams guided the Bluejays to the NCAA tournament each time. This season, Creighton finished 25-10 and fell to Tennessee in the Sweet 16.

Courtney-Williams coached for three seasons at McNeese State prior to his tenure at Creighton. Prior to joining McNeese, he worked as a graduate assistant at Mississippi State from 2015 to 2017 and as the Bulldogs’ video coordinator.
