Nyheim Hines, previously with the Buffalo Bills, is making a move across Lake Erie to join the Cleveland Browns.

According to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Hines is set to sign a one-year contract with the Browns, reportedly worth up to $3.5 million, as per sources.

Nyheim Hines made his way to Orchard Park, NY through a trade deadline deal orchestrated by general manager Brandon Beane with the Indianapolis Colts. In exchange for Hines, the Bills sent running back Zack Moss and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Colts. However, Hines’ integration into the Bills’ offensive plans seemed challenging, resulting in limited rushing yards and a fumble, along with modest receiving stats during his stint with the team.

Nevertheless, Hines showcased his explosiveness on kickoff returns, notably in the 2022 Week 18 showdown against the New England Patriots. In a pivotal game, Hines electrified the Bills’ faithful by returning two kickoffs for touchdowns, including a dramatic 101-yard dash to the end zone that helped secure victory over the Patriots.

Unfortunately, Hines’ promising tenure with the Bills was cut short due to an offseason jet ski injury followed by a severe knee injury, which sidelined him for the entire 2023 NFL season. As a result, Hines was released by the Bills, leaving fans to ponder what could have been if injuries hadn’t derailed his time in Buffalo. Now, Hines aims to prove his fitness and make an impact in the 2024 NFL season with the Cleveland Browns.
