While Jakob Poeltl is seeking a specialist for his dislocated pinky finger, the Toronto Raptors won’t rule out Scottie Barnes making a return this season.

The Toronto Raptors are not ruling out a comeback by Scottie Barnes.

Although the odds are stacked against Barnes making a comeback this season, Toronto is still holding out hope. Barnes had surgery on Monday to help repair the fracture in his left hand.

Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković stated, “I think it’s too early to say, at this point.” It goes without saying that everyone wants him to be able to return and complete the season. I am aware of his eagerness to return and play. However, at this point, we just don’t have enough knowledge to make such plans.

Jakob Poeltl, an Austrian who stands seven feet tall, is currently having a specialist check on his dislocated left pinky finger. During Sunday’s first half against the Charlotte Hornets, he suffered a finger injury. The initial X-rays did not reveal any fractures.

Even though Toronto will be shorthanded on Tuesday night, the bench will undoubtedly be packed. Jahmi’us Ramsey, 22, signed a 10-day contract with the Raptors on Tuesday morning, so he will be ready to play right away.

“I know that he can shoot the ball. I know that he did a really good job in the G League, averaging some impressive numbers coming off the bench,” Rajaković said. “We were able to see him a little bit in our playgroups as well. And I can confirm he did not miss a shot this morning.”

Ramsey was averaging 20.6 points per game while shooting 40.6% from three-point range with the Oklahoma City Blues in the G League this season.
