REPORT: Team from the Eastern Conference mentioned as a possible draft suitor for Bronny James

Perhaps LeBronto is about to complete a circle.

This week, The Athletic’s Shams Charania, an NBA source, provided an intriguing update on Bronny James’ draft prospects. In an interview with “The Pat McAfee Show,” Charania mentioned the Toronto Raptors as one Eastern Conference team that would be interested in selecting the 19-year-old Bronny from USC. The Raptors are reportedly “scouting” Bronny right now, according to Charania.

Despite leading USC in scoring this season with an average of 5.7 points per game on 37/28/61 shooting splits, Bronny isn’t getting much attention from draft coaches. The likelihood that the team that selects him in the draft will also be able to select his father, LeBron James, is what is really exciting. All of this might be taken to mean that the Raptors, along with any other teams that could be interested in scouting Bronny, are interested in the father-son James duo.

After LeBron harassed the Raptors in the Eastern Conference playoffs for many years, that would be an intriguing change of events. LeBron eliminated Toronto in three consecutive seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2016 to 2018. The Raptors did not win their first championship in team history until LeBron departed the East to join the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019.

Regarding the Lakers, we recently learned their present position regarding Bronny’s draft selection. However, it seems like the Raptors, who have the picks Nos. 6, 17, and 31 in this year’s draft, are also making some noise.
