REPORT: The 49ers’ Most Recent Contract Offer to Brandon Aiyuk Is Revealed.

As to Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, Brandon Aiyuk has received a new contract offer from the San Francisco 49ers, but it might not be sufficient to secure his services. While the Niners assess the future of their offense, Aiyuk’s contract dispute has been the main topic of conversation during the 2024 summer.

Aiyuk just finished his best NFL season to date. Although estimates and speculation have varied, Silver claims that the most recent offer would place him among the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

According to Silver, “I’m hearing their offer is in the $26 million range, which is closer to that of DeVonta Smith, Amon-Ra St. Brown, that next tier down, but it’s certainly not Justin Jefferson money — nor should it be.”

Like all Super Bowl hopefuls, the 49ers are faced with a challenging salary cap position. Putting together a squad worthy of a championship is one thing, but the real difficulty is in holding it together over the long term.

But, it appears San Francisco is prepared to shell out a lot of money, as 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey received an extension (more on that below). All that needs to happen is to reach a figure that Aiyuk will accept.
