REPORT:Dane Jackson and Damar Hamlin talk about the obstacles facing the 2023 season and why they back Sean McDermott.

The Buffalo Bills’ secondary tandem of Dane Jackson and Damar Hamlin recently had a conversation with Ari Meirov, who covers the NFL for The 33rd Team, about a variety of NFL subjects. He started by inquiring about the two’s shared upbringing.

Meirov said, “You two have a really cool story.” “You two are from the same neighborhood in Pittsburgh. You attended the same college together. was drafted by the same NFL team—that is extremely uncommon. What reflections, both as a team and as close friends, would you make now that the season is finished?

Dane was the first to say, “It was a journey, for sure.” Our path was one of teamwork. Throughout the season, we faced numerous ups and downs as well as difficulties and tribulations, but we remained united and gave it our all.

Jackson informed Meirov that being friends was a different process, but they persisted, had faith in God, and each other. He added that they continued to rely on and support one another, and that they were always available to chat to as genuine “wingmen.”

To that feeling, Hamlin added, “Man, it’s been an amazing journey.” Seeing where we came from and how far we’ve come is something of great quality and something I respect. He added that both he and Jackson continue to defy the odds and get beyond roadblocks.

Meirov briefly discussed the stretch of the season where all hope appeared to be lost before posing the question, “As guys who play for him, how would you describe Sean and why he is the right guy for Buffalo?” to head coach Sean McDermott.

Just the frame of mind and attitude he brings. He’s a true leader, and this season, as we went through our difficult period and saw how we were able to turn it around, I got to experience it firsthand. You know, I knew that all along,” Hamlin responded. “It was really just everyone buying into his plan, which we carried out for as long as we could, to the best of our abilities.”

“To be able to lead and lead a group of grown men — super-successful men — it’s hard to get that caliber of men to buy into one thing and one plan and you know, taking it all the way down to something simple, just as far as you know, standing in front of that room, in front of this group of men is a tough task,” Hamlin said, paying tribute to McDermott as well. He continued by saying that McDermott’s daily actions have increased his regard for the coach, and Sean treats everyone else with the same decency. He referred to him as a “true leader” in closing.

Dane Jackson was the next to be questioned. Meirov was curious as to Jackson’s reasoning for thinking Damar Hamlin ought to win the NFL’s “Comeback Player of the Year” title on February 8. His reply was lovely and deeply felt.

Jackson started, “Like I said before and I’ll keep saying it again.” “For me, there is no one more deserving than my brother – not that this diminishes the worth of any other contenders in the slightest. I have witnessed the entire journey, been there for him along it, and witnessed all that he has faced and conquered. Even in hard circumstances, he never voiced complaints. “Bro, this is what I love to do,” was how he would always look at me. I wish to carry out this action. I therefore have nothing but respect for this man, who happens to be my brother, and I believe that no one is more worthy of it.

Meirov also inquired about their plans regarding the Bounty brand. Bounty and I collaborate on a “Wingman” series. Fantastic chance for us to represent Bounty and show off who we are as individuals. They have played a significant role in my life and journey, Jackson remarked. He expressed his gratitude for giving Damar and him a stage on which to showcase their individuality.

“Just to be able to show the world who we really are.” Everybody who responded to our video is a huge fan. seeing our relationship on a daily basis in public for everyone to see. We’re such sincere individuals, which is why there has been such a wonderful response, Hamlin continued. “Our only goal is to bring good into the world.”
