Fortunately, Carlos Alcaraz is not hurt, despite withdrawing from the 2024 Barcelona Open, according to sources.

Due to physical problems, the Spaniard had to cancel one of his sessions early a few days prior to withdrawing from the Monte-Carlo Masters last week.

In preparation for the forthcoming Barcelona Open, which he won twice, including the previous year, he continued to train in Murcia, but he will not be competing there either.
Alcaraz’s withdrawal from the ATP 500 event in Barcelona, where he was the defending champion, was announced on Sunday. This is a major setback for Alcaraz.

He truly looked forward to competing at the Barcelona Open, which has been an incredible tournament for him. Given that this is his second cancellation in April, it’s clear that the news didn’t ease any of his fans’ concerns.

Next up for him is the Madrid Open, where he is also the defending champion. The Italian Open is held in Rome after that. This is a busy time of year and not the best time to get hurt.

It would be disastrous for him to get hurt now and have to stop playing, especially considering his goals to compete at Roland Garros. Reports state that the Spaniard appears to be unharmed, nevertheless.

German journalist Abril Alcaraz claims that after undergoing examinations in Spain, he was found to be injury-free. According to the same journalist, his decision to withdraw from the Barcelona Open was mostly motivated by discomfort during his forehand strokes.
