Rugby standout Louis Rees-Zammit pays a visit to Browns.

Following the acquisition of the Scottish Hammer, the Cleveland Browns have now brought in Louis Rees-Zammit for a visit and workout on Thursday, as confirmed by a league source for the Akron Beacon-Journal. Rees-Zammit recently made the decision to leave professional rugby in pursuit of an NFL career.

During the NFL International Pro Day, Rees-Zammit, standing at 6’-3” and weighing 209 pounds, showcased his impressive speed by clocking a 4.44 in the 40-yard dash. He informed scouts that he has previously recorded times in the 4.2s and 4.3s. Additionally, Rees-Zammit impressed with a 29-inch vertical jump and a broad jump of 9’-7”.

Notably, he has reached speeds of 24.2 mph, a remarkable feat that underscores his exceptional athleticism.

Louis Rees-Zammit, the former Welsh rugby union wing, visited and participated in drills at the NFL International Player Pathway event, alongside 16 other athletes. Notably, Rees-Zammit showcased excellent hands, good footwork, and is renowned for his formidable tackling skills.

At 22 years old, Rees-Zammit left professional rugby to pursue an NFL career, joining the 10-week program of the NFL International Player Pathway at the University of South Florida. His participation in the program aims to secure a spot with an NFL club for the 2024 season.
