Former Stoke City player Jon Walters has been identified as a potential success story in his new role as the club’s technical director, with former teammate Peter Crouch tipping him for success in football administration.

Walters, currently serving as interim technical director until the end of the season following the dismissal of Ricky Martin, has reportedly brought about a positive change in morale within the club since his appointment. Despite Stoke City’s precarious position near the relegation zone, there has been an improvement in their performance on the pitch.

Crouch, who played alongside Walters during Stoke’s Premier League era, believes that Walters was always destined for a role in football administration due to his deep understanding of the game. Walters’ involvement with the Football Association (FA) and his role as the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) player representative exemplify his capabilities in this area.

When asked about Walters’ potential future in football administration, Crouch expressed confidence in his abilities, suggesting that Walters could excel in such a role both at Stoke City and beyond.

Stoke City’s next crucial fixture sees them face Hull City on Good Friday before a crucial match against relegation rivals Huddersfield Town at the bet365 Stadium on Easter Monday.

In an effort to attract a large crowd for the vital game, Stoke City is offering discounted tickets to supporters. Friends and family of season ticket holders can purchase tickets for the April 1st match at a reduced price of £10 (£5 for concessions) by using a special discount code provided by the club. Further details are available on the Stoke City website or by contacting the club directly.
