This weekend, Everton will make their way back to Goodison Park to face David Moyes’ West Ham United, who will be coming off a 4-2 victory against Brentford.

This week, the Toffees improved their Premier League standing from 17th to 15th after receiving four points back.
However, the Merseysiders are still facing a second charge, which means that more probable point deductions are in store.

That being said, Sean Dyche will need to inspire his team before Saturday’s match and prevent any complacency that might arise, particularly with a few injury concerns raising questions before the match.

Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gana Gueye are doubtful against West Ham.
Before Saturday’s match against West Ham, Dyche gave an update on Idrissa Gana Gueye and Amadou Onana’s injuries.

“He (Gueye) is still getting settled in,” Dyche said to the press on Thursday. “Amadou is experiencing a similar groin issue to Gana, which is currently settling down. We will make a more thorough decision regarding them tomorrow.”

The manager of the Toffees also provided an update on Dele’s and Andre Gomes’ fitness, as the latter hasn’t played since January.

Andre has rejoined us on the grass. He is progressing nicely. Dele is also just concerned with getting fit. Not a single thing other from that. He is obviously still on his period, but he seems to be concentrating just on that.

Everton’s issue choosing a midfield lineup
With Gomes, Gueye, and Onana perhaps sidelined for Saturday’s match, Dyche faces some selection challenges in the midfield.
Gueye and James Garner have established a reliable midfield relationship, but it looks like Gueye might be out this weekend.

Onana could miss this Saturday’s scoreless draw against Brighton and Hove Albion due to a groin issue. Onana entered the game as a substitute.

Thus, Everton’s options in midfield are limited. Maybe The Toffees manager will bring in an academy player.

This season, MacKenzie Hunt has been used as a substitute eighteen times; nevertheless, he could make his debut on Saturday.

The 22-year-old, who attended Everton’s system, is still waiting to make his team debut. Hunt’s incredible versatility has been demonstrated by his ability to play at left-back, left midfield, and central midfield for the under-21 team.

The young player, who was born in 2001, is unlikely to start, but considering his ailments, a debut appearance off the bench could be possible, particularly if Everton wears out in the closing minutes.
