According to Brett Tessler, Greg Joseph’s agent, the former Vikings kicker was signed by the Packers to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst is not afraid about this rising player’s next deal.

Joseph will have competition from current kicker Anders Carlson and former University of Georgia kicker Jack Podlesny, who the organization signed to a futures deal earlier in the summer. Joseph made 24 of 30 field goals and 36 of 38 extra-point tries for the Vikings last season.

Carlson was a rookie sixth-round selection who made 27 of 33 field goals and 34 of 39 extra points in the previous season.
