A recent study conducted by the CIES Football Observatory has identified six English players whose transfer values surpass €100 million, and one name on the list may come as a surprise.

Leading the pack is Jude Bellingham, with a predicted value of €267.5 million (£230 million). The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined Real Madrid last summer for an initial £88.5 million, has a contract valid until 2029.

Following closely is Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, ranking fifth overall with a value of €223 million (£192 million), while Manchester City’s Phil Foden is not far behind at €195.8 million (£168 million).

A surprising entry is Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, considered the fourth most valuable English player, with a predicted fee of €136.2 million (£117 million).

In a shocking turn, Cole Palmer, who moved from City to Chelsea last summer in a £40 million deal, has seen his value rise to €104.9 million (£90 million), securing the fifth spot on the list. Palmer has impressed with Chelsea, contributing eight goals and seven assists in 21 games and making his senior England debut in November.

The final English representative in the €100 million club is Declan Rice, valued at €103.8 million (£89.3 million), nearly £16 million less than the figure Arsenal paid for him last summer.

As Euro 2024 approaches, England manager Gareth Southgate may have the most valuable squad at his disposal, showcasing the rising market values of these talented English players.
