South Carolina basketball coach Lamont Paris is anticipating the arrival of a highly talented recruiting class in Columbia this summer. With three players identified as 4-star prospects by at least one prominent recruiting source, this incoming group marks the Gamecocks’ highest-rated class since either 2015 or 2010, depending on the specific outlet.

On3 has been unveiling its latest and final player recruiting rankings for the class of 2024, resulting in some shifts among South Carolina’s commitments.

Cam Scott, the most recent addition to the class, made the decision to remain closer to home after initially committing to the Texas Longhorns. Hailing from Lexington High School, Scott, a former 5-star prospect, saw a slight decline in his rankings before rebounding in the latest On3 rankings, moving up four spots to #34. As the top-rated player in USC’s class, Scott, known for his dynamic scoring abilities, is being considered as a potential starter for the upcoming season.

Trent Noah, the second commitment in the class from Harlan County, Kentucky, has witnessed an upward trajectory in his rankings since pledging to the Gamecocks. Renowned for his exceptional perimeter shooting, Noah’s rankings have consistently ranged from 110 to 140 across various recruiting services, with On3 placing him at #122 in its final rankings. Given his shooting prowess, Noah is expected to play a significant role on next year’s team.

Okku Federiko, the initial commitment for the Gamecocks in the class of 2024, joined alongside fellow Finnish player Morris Ugusuk. Federiko, previously recognized as an On3 4-star prospect, experienced a drop in the latest rankings, slipping four spots from 88th nationally to 92nd. Despite this decline, Federiko, known for his high potential, is expected to provide valuable contributions coming off the bench in the upcoming season.
