The Arizona Cardinals have added another member to the growing list of prospective NFL players who are meeting with teams across the league.

South Carolina tight end Trey Knox discussed a wide range of subjects in an interview with writer Justin Melo of The Draft Network, including a list of teams he has spoken with, including Arizona.

Knox stated, “I’ve met with probably eight or nine teams in virtual meetings.” “The day before Pro Day, I had in-person meetings with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Houston Texans.” I have Zoom meetings with the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Cardinals, to mention a few other teams.

Knox spent his first four seasons in college (2019–2022) at the University of Arkansas. Despite being listed as a wide receiver, he caught 81 passes for 883 yards, nine touchdowns, and participated in 45 games.

Despite having a year of remaining college eligibility because to the COVID-19 epidemic, Knox decided to take advantage of it and transferred to South Carolina, an SEC foe. After switching to tight end the previous season, he hauled in 37 passes for 312 yards and two scores.

The native of Tennessee may be selected in the second or third round of the draft rather than the first round.

With Trey McBride emerging as Arizona’s future star last season, Knox might develop into a solid backup or complementary option for McBride. Geoff Swaim spent one season with the Cardinals before becoming an unrestricted free agent.

Arizona has 11 total picks in this year’s draft, including six picks in each of the first three rounds.

Detroit will host the 2024 NFL Draft from April 25–27.
