West Ham United has shown interest in Ipswich Town left-back Leif Davis, as reported by Give Me Sport last month.

Despite manager David Moyes departing at the end of the season, there’s speculation about whether Davis remains a target for the club. However, it’s often the recruitment teams and those working behind the scenes who identify potential signings.

Additionally, with Ben Johnson likely to leave the London Stadium when his contract expires this summer, Davis could be a valuable addition to bolster the full-back department.

The owners of West Ham might be inclined to support Moyes’ successor in the upcoming transfer window, marking the beginning of a new era for the club after Moyes’ tenure.

They could potentially support their next manager, Julen Lopetegui, by securing a transfer deal for Davis.

Davis showcased an impressive performance for Ipswich Town last season, seamlessly transitioning to the Championship and playing a significant role in the team’s consecutive promotions, particularly with his contributions in attacking positions.

In the 2023/24 campaign, Davis made 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 21 assists. While he faced challenges defensively at times, his overall impact was notable.
