Sutton’s striker is willing to join AFC Wimbledon this summer.

According to the South London Press, AFC Wimbledon is eager to sign Harry Smith, a forward for Sutton United, this summer. Numerous teams have indicated interest in signing the striker this summer, including Johnnie Jackson’s outfit. Sutton, 28, had a major influence despite being demoted to the National League. He contributed 19 goals in all competitions, including 11 goals in League Two.

Josh Davison is expected to exit Plough Lane this summer, and our paper revealed at the close of the season that the Dons were hoping to strengthen their forward department and want to add two possibilities to their ranks over the off-season.

Ex-Millwall striker Smith, who has also had spells at Leyton Orient and Northampton during his career, has played more than 150 times in League Two and has 50 goal contributions at the level to his name.

Omar Bugiel, an international player from Lebanon, was signed by the Dons from Sutton last summer on a free transfer. He quickly rose to prominence at SW19. Josh Kelly was also signed during the January transfer window, following the club record fee of the Phoenix period for the sale of Ali Al-Hamadi to Ipswish.
