The arrest of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Deputy is captured on body cam footage.
Deputy Danny Contreras was taken into custody in Pensacola in December.
Contreras and two other males are charged with taking a city-owned UTV for a “joyride” in Pensacola.
After the arrest, Contreras was put on leave, according to the sheriff’s office.

Contreras entered a plea of not guilty to the charges on Thursday, according to Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack, and was forwarded to the pre-trial intervention program.
After a 30-day unpaid suspension, Sheriff Mack reports that Contreras has since rejoined the patrol division.
Contreras claims in the body cam video that it was an idiotic error that ought not to have occurred.
