The Badgers provide 2027 QB LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier’s brother, Colton Nussmeier
Wisconsin is the second school to make an offer to 2027 quarterback Colton Nussmeier, the son of former NFL quarterback Doug Nussmeier and younger brother of LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
Nussmeier, a Texas native who is a rising sophomore in high school, is currently 6’3″ and weighs 175 pounds.
He is just the latest quarterback the Badgers have offered from Texas. The team has also signed Nick Evers, Landyn Locke, Mabrey Mettauer, and Braedyn Locke, all of whom are natives of Texas.
Murray State was the first school to extend an offer to the Texas signal-caller on January 13, and Wisconsin was the second school to do so.
There is no denying that Nussmeier has a football background. His brother, Doug, played five seasons in the NFL before turning to coaching, and he is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. His brother also recently defeated Wisconsin in their bowl game.
Along with Alabama sensation Trent Seaborn, Nussmeier is the second offer the Badgers have made in the 2027 class.
