Injuries derailed the Browns’ 2023 season, but general manager Andrew Berry is determined to avoid a repeat scenario in 2024. Much of Berry’s offseason focus in the initial week of the new league year has revolved around retaining many players from last year’s roster and giving it another shot. This strategy is anticipated to persist.

According to Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, veteran safety Rodney McLeod is on the verge of re-signing with the Browns for the 2024 season. His contract is expected to span just one year, akin to several other key defenders who have already committed to staying with the team. Unfortunately, McLeod was one of over a dozen players who suffered season-ending injuries last season. The 33-year-old sustained a torn pectoral in Cleveland’s Week 11 victory over the Steelers.
