C.J. Uzomah, a tight end, has signed a one-year contract with the Eagles.

After inking his contract at the NovaCare Complex, Uzomah stated, “I really wanted to come to a place, where in my heart, I have a feeling that we have a great chance to win a Super Bowl this year.” “It’s the culture, the fans, and everything about this team and organization that I have observed as a bystander over the years.”

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Uzomah (6-foot-5, 271 pounds) in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and he is now starting his tenth season in the league. He played with the New York Jets for the previous two seasons.

The 31-year-old has caught 192 catches for 1,881 yards and 16 touchdowns in 106 career games (82 starts). When the Bengals made an appearance in Super Bowl LVI in 2021, it was his best season. Uzomah set career highs with 49 receptions for 493 yards and five touchdowns.

Uzomah has accumulated 29 receptions, 290 yards, and three touchdowns during the previous two seasons. On December 3, 2023, he sustained a season-ending knee injury that caused him to miss the final five games of his Jets career.

“I’m on track, just a little bit ahead of schedule,” Uzomah declared. “I can’t wait to get back on the field and get after it with the guys.”

With the exception of Dallas Goedert, who has ten career starts at tight end, Uzomah will add experienced experience to the lineup.
