LOS ANGELES, California (KECY, NBC, KYMA) – The statue of legendary Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Kobe Bryant was unveiled at  Arena in Los Angeles one month ago today.

Fans are appreciating the statue weeks after the celebration, but they are also pointing out a few flaws, including three misspellings that are engraved in the marble.

Kobe Bryant statue contains MULTIPLE spelling errors in the engraving of the box score of the late Lakers legend's 81-point game... including the names of Jose Calderon and Von Wafer | Daily

The posture from Bryant’s 81-point performance against Toronto in 2006 served as the model for the monument.

The official scorer’s report from that evening is displayed on the side of the statue; however, it refers to former Toronto guard Jose Calderon as Jose Calderson, former Laker Von Wafer as Vom Wafer, and decision as decicion.

Many express amazement at the errors and inquire as to the Lakers’ plans for correcting them.
