Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams have officially announced a signing agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs for the acquisition of Patrick Mahomes for a reported sum of $40 million.
Puka Nacua made waves in his rookie season by making significant contributions to the Los Angeles Rams, but he’s only scratching the surface of his potential.
In a recent appearance on The Rush with Maxx Crosby, Nacua discussed his aspirations for the upcoming season. He emphasized his desire to enhance his ability to overcome man coverage and reflected on his growth during his debut year.
“Conquering press coverage and defeating man-to-man defense is crucial in football,” Nacua stated. “Being able to swiftly and effectively navigate past defenders at the line of scrimmage against any opponent… When I compare myself at the beginning of the season to the end, it’s like observing two different players.”
While not always the fastest player on the field, Nacua’s physicality against opposing cornerbacks posed significant challenges for defenses. He believes that refining his skills in beating press coverage could elevate his game to an even higher level.
