The New Orleans Saints are bolstering their receiving corps by signing former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Cedrick Wilson as a free agent.

At 29 years old, Cedrick Wilson joins the New Orleans Saints following a five-year stint split between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins. Originally hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Wilson was drafted by the Cowboys in 2019 after his collegiate career at Boise State.

During his time with the Dolphins in both 2022 and 2023, Wilson appeared in 15 games each season. In the most recent campaign, he recorded 22 receptions for 296 yards and three touchdowns. However, his standout season occurred in 2021 while playing for the Cowboys, where he amassed 45 receptions, 602 yards, and six touchdowns.

Wilson’s signing potentially fulfills the expectation among fans for the Saints to add a wide receiver. While some fans speculated a reunion between Derek Carr and former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, the addition of Wilson may better align with the team’s needs.
