At the recent Gather Round event in Adelaide, the museum curator had the pleasure of meeting with members of the South Australian Supporters Group prior to the game against Collingwood at the Adelaide Oval.

During this meeting, members of the volunteer group—Wendy Morris, Cathy King, Rod King (president), Dean Higgs, and Joan Wheaton—were honored with their third Glenferrie Gold Life Patrons Certificate and badge.

The South Australian Hawks have been steadfast contributors to the museum, having joined the Glenferrie Gold in 2020, then in 2022, and now in 2024. The museum, which is currently in the planning stages for its move to the Kennedy Community Centre, deeply values this ongoing support.

For Hawk fans interested in delving deeper into the Glenferrie Gold Life Patrons of the Hawks Museum, membership is extended to all who harbor a strong interest in the Club’s history and traditions, and who seek a closer affiliation with the museum.

Your invaluable contribution aids the museum in expanding its resources, growing the Club Collection, documenting stories, developing new and informative displays, and crafting an immersive experience for visitors, as well as in hosting historically significant functions.

Membership to Glenferrie Gold can be secured through a $1,200 contribution, which may be tax deductible when made to the Hawthorn Football Club Foundation.

As a Glenferrie Gold member, you’ll receive:

– An individually numbered Life Patron’s badge and a Certificate of Appreciation signed by the Club President
– Your name inscribed on the Glenferrie Gold Life Patrons Honour Board and in the Hawks Museum’s Annual Report
– Invitations to two annual functions hosted by the Hawks Museum, along with unrestricted access to the museum’s exhibits.
