In the upcoming years, he might elevate to “world-class” status.

According to a new transfer rumor, Manchester City is prepared to pay an incredible £127 million to sign a player who has drawn comparisons to Ronaldinho this summer.

News about Man City transfers
Ahead of their tantalizing Premier League matchup with Liverpool on Sunday, Pep Guardiola’s team is feeling quite menacing. The Cityzens are expected to triumph in front of their home crowd at Anfield for the first time since 2003.

Even though City’s roster is stacked with elite players from back to front, including Ederson, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, and Erling Haaland, to mention a few, new additions are still anticipated in the summer to keep the team feeling young.

Munich, Germany, Bayer, and Jamal One

According to reports, Guardiola’s team is in the lead to sign young Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich, who may be considering a transfer to the Premier League at the end of the current season. Although Liverpool is rumored to be interested in signing him, City is certain they will land their man.

The current Premier League and European winners are also rumored to be interested in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz this summer. Guardiola is a huge fan of the Brazilian, who has already had one successful stint at the Etihad.

Man City wants a star like Ronaldinho.
A Spanish source [via Caught Offside] claims that Manchester City is eager to sign Rafael Leao this summer.

Spend €150 million (£127.8 million) on the AC Milan sensation.

According to the source, Jack Grealish may be in jeopardy because he too plays a left-sided attacking role and has had a difficult season due to injuries and inconsistent play.

Rafael Leao Ac’s Premier League in Milan
Given how much of a fantastic player Leao has become and the fact that he still has youth on his side, City might make a stunning acquisition of him during the summer transfer window. Even so, Brazilian legend Ronaldinho has been compared to him by Owen Hargreaves, who has even backed him to become “world-class” at some point.

“When he’s on it, he sometimes gives off Ronaldinho vibes. I think consistency is a must for being world class. He’s probably simply lacking the necessary experience to play at the world class level because he can be erratic and loose at times, but the talent’s

world-class quality should exist.”

Leao has made 21 Serie A starts this season and contributed 11 goals (four goals and seven assists). He has also scored three goals in the combined Champions League and Europa League.

He’s not exactly at his best either, but at 24, he feels like an improvement over Grealish, who reaches 29 later this year and has never really made an impression at City despite being a useful cog in the system.
If Leao can find consistency in his all-around game, he has a world-class ceiling. Should he join City, Guardiola would be the ideal manager to help him develop his skills.
