Tough Jack Butland Rangers reality check as open ears are guaranteed by John Bennett’s pledge

While Rangers prepared for their second leg Europa League Round of 16 matchup with Benfica, a narrative centered on England prospect Jack Butland was emerging.

With his form returning at Rangers, the 31-year-old goalkeeper was back in the conversation for the Three Lions in anticipation of a historic comeback to the England squad before Euro 2024.

In Portugal, Jack Butland had also shown great bravery, leading Rangers to a hard-fought 2-2 first-leg draw and raising the prospect of a historic trip to the Final in Dublin.

Unfortunately, Butland missed the England call and the bus to Dublin broke down before it had left Glasgow, making it a sad day for the Rangers goalkeeper.
