Wycombe Wanderers and Burton Albion have joined Lincoln City in their pursuit of Larne attacker Lee Bonis, according to writer Alan Nixon’s Patreon page. Wycombe Wanderers could offer a price of around £150,000 to entice the attacker to come to England. However, they will have to compete with rival League One club Burton Albion for his signature.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that Bonis, 24, is also on Lincoln City’s radar. The Imps are preparing for another year in the third tier under Michael Skubala, having losing out on the play-offs last season. According to Nixon’s Patreon, both the Chairboys and the Brewers are interested in signing Bonis over the next few months. He signed a new three-year contract with his current club last year, thus he is under contract until 2026.

Bonis has been prolific for Larne in recent years, scoring 53 goals in 107 outings for the NIFL Premiership club. The Northern Irishman, who made his first appearance for his country last year, began his career in non-league clubs Portadown BBOB and Saegoe. Portadown signed him as a kid in 2019, and he spent two years at Shamrock Park before moving to Inver Park. His goals have helped Larne win the league title for the second year in a row, after never having done so before, but they will have to fight hard to keep him.
