On Saturday, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the visiting Houston Rockets 122-113 thanks in large part to a game-high 34 points from Dejounte Murray.

Atlanta won their sixth game in a row and its second in a row thanks to 24 points from Saddiq Bey. Onyeka Okongwu pulled down 11 points and seven rebounds, Jalen Johnson scored 21 points, while Trae Young finished with 18 points and eight assists.

With 26 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds, Jalen Green recorded a triple-double to lead Houston, which suffered its fourth consecutive loss. Aaron Holiday scored 18 points off the bench after Jeff Green scored 19. Amen Thompson scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, while Dillon Brooks contributed 14.

The Hawks led by eight points at the half and extended that lead to fifteen points in the second half after going on a 7-0 run. With 6:42 left in the third quarter, Houston mounted a 16-7 run to cut its deficit to 71-65 thanks to a and-one from Jeff Green.

Following back-to-back triples from rookie Kobe Bufkin and Murray, Atlanta extended their lead.

Johnson’s free throws gave Atlanta a 95-81 lead with 33 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Holiday then converted a foul after being fouled while driving to the basket.

Bey finished the game with a slam, and Murray made two free throws.

With Atlanta’s triumph, the series record was tied at 82 wins apiece.
