Star Juan Soto of the New York Yankees is off to a fantastic start in spring training.

At Tampa, Florida’s George M. Steinbrenner Field, where throngs of spectators gathered on Sunday, Soto took the field and blasted a three-run home run in the fourth inning.

Soto’s home run, which would have been a home hit in every MLB ballpark, reportedly went an estimated 428 feet before going off the scoreboard, according to Statcast.

Fans were in shock at what they saw. In particular, Yankees supporters were understandably ecstatic—and maybe a touch arrogant.
After being acquired by the Yankees in a major trade with the San Diego Padres in December, Soto, who is 25 years old, has had a.946 OPS and has slashed.284/.421/.524 over his past six seasons.

On March 28, Soto and the Yankees will take on the Houston Astros in the opening game of the regular season.
